Each week we’ll look at captain options outside the big boys as there is only one Brodie Grundy in each league.  So, we are going to look at the underbelly of the weekly contests that hopefully can unearth some unique skipper options, including those in the loop hole games.  Yes some will be risky but that could be the difference of you getting your league win and stay in the hunt for finals action this year.

Sorry but a late and short version this week, been held up with the Man Flu and we all know how devastating that can be to us poor mere males.

Captain Loophole

Well if you had Danger or Brad Crouch well done and sit back and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

For the rest of us Friday night has some decent options in what should be a great game with two teams wanting to get their finals hopes back on track.  Oliver, Brayshaw and Gawn headline the Demon’s options although a captain risky could be Salem who has started the year very well. With Maxy it will be interesting to see if the two ruck Don’s are out to target him.

Essendon seem a little harder to find a genuine captain options, Zac Merrett looked better round 2 so should be warming up, while Dyson Heppell and Dylan Smith can pump out some big scores on their day.

Best unique skipper options from this week remaining clashes:

Carlton v Swans

Gun: Patrick Cripps: Does not need any explanation.  Although Lloyd is unlucky not to be first cab off the rank.

Captain Risky:  JPK: Not exactly the scoring machine we once knew but up against a young midfield this bull may pull out a big one.

GWS v Richmond

Gun: Lachie Whitfield:  With players scoring big against the Tigers this star should have a field day, averaging 121 is a great start to the year and those that invested an early pick should be well happy.

Captain Risky: Any Richmond Player:  I will be honest I thought their model would change with the rules, not so and bleak if you have a team full of tigers.

Brisbane v Port Adelaide

Gun: L. Neale: My boy is back, wrote him off and bang he showed us all he is a real uber premo.  Glad to see ya back.

Captain Risky:  Boak & Rocky: Massive start to the season, but we are all wondering will Ollie Wines change anything with their scoring.  I hope not!

Collingwood v Eagles

Gun:  Andrew Gaff: Missing out on so much will have him wanting to prove something to his team mates, running machine who will have a big day.

Captain Risky: Mark Hutchins:  Not him, but who ever he is on after such a great job last week.  He looks to have taken the mantle of the best stopper in the business.  Is it Treloar?

Western Bulldogs v Gold Coast

Gun:  The Bont:  Not a bad midfielder this bloke and if he stays there could even win a brownlow!

Captain Risky:  Josh Dunkley:  Ok this is hear for piece of mind.  I have streamed two players in two rounds against the Suns with no joy.  This is the last time – can Dunks come back or will he be a second half of the season only player again.

Hawthorn v North Melbourne

Gun: JOM: Had him the risky option ealier in the week but he has firmed to simply be the gun.

Captain Risky: James Cousins:  With injuries comes opportunity and could rank them up this week.

Fremantle v St Kilda

Gun:  Brad Hill: Yes I said it, what a start averaging 121 just got to back him in.

Captain Risky: Billings:  He finally has the right role, but still has not really produced the goods, a great opportunity against the Dockers.
