Each week I’ll be looking at players who are sitting in the free agency pool that can be used in your matchup that can give you a little extra scoring power. When using these players, I use Ultimate Footy’s ownership of 65% or less to give everyone a go for those that play in bigger leagues.

Jackson Trengove:  The man to replace Schache this week after playing one game in the VFL, where he dominated with 26 possessions, 8 marks, 4 tackles and 2 goals to go with his 26 hitouts.

In just 46% of teams Trengove is listed as a defender but will play fwd/ruck rotating out with English. The Dogs are playing Carlton this week where he has scored well when he’s come up against them. In his last 3 matches against the Blues, Trengove has scored 95/87and 81 SuperCoach points and 100/75 and 95 AFL Fanatsy points. If you’re struggling to find a D5 look to use Trengove this week.

Mitch Brown: Brown is in just 43% of teams and it will probably be the last time we can use him before Daniher comes back into the team and take his points.

Brown has been averaging 77 AFL Fantasy and 85 SuperCoach points and the Bombers seem to have their mojo back, playing fast attacking footy. If they continue to play this way on Good Friday, we can expect Brown to get plenty of looks at it and score well for those looking to stream a forward this week.

Aliir Aliir: The Swans are up against the Tigers this week and we know that the Tigers have been bleeding points to opposition defences, just like we saw last week against Port Adelaide.

Aliir is in 66% of teams (just over the 65% rule I know) but with Rampe expected to get first crack at Handsome Tom, I expect Aliir to fill the space in front and take a lot of intercept marks from the Tigers entries inside 50. Aliir has been averaging 16 possessions and 7 marks a game for and average of 87 SuperCoach and 66 AFL Fantasy points. This is more a SuperCoach pick but I still like him for AFL Fantasy this week as well.

David Mirra: In 63% of teams, we saw Mirra get a bump in scoring in the game against the Saints last week when Stratton went off injured. This is a wait and see for final teams to be named for the Easter Monday game. If Stratton does get named, look to grab Scrimshaw (48% ownership) as he got a bump when Frawley went down with a hammy injury and will miss the Easter Monday game.
