Each week I’ll be looking at players who are sitting in the free agency pool that can be used in your matchup that can give you a little extra scoring power. When using these players, I use Ultimate Footy’s ownership of 65% or less to give everyone a go for those that play in bigger leagues.
The bye rounds are upon us and it means we are looking at players to fill the gaps of our regular players.
Starting off this week there are a few players in the North v Gold Coast game that I like. Robbie Tarrant who is in 47% of teams went the ton in both formats last year and has been a solid scorer in defence all year. He is more a SuperCoach play than AFL Fantasy.
There has been a lot of hype about Mason Wood over the years, yet we haven’t seen him reach his full potential due to injury. In 51% of teams, Wood has kicked 8 goals and taken 12 marks in his last 2 games for scores in the 90’s in both formats. I expect this scoring to continue this week.
Big Ben Brown has come back into form the last 2 weeks with some plus matchups and against the Gold Coast should be no different. With a career average of 85 and 76 against Gold Coast, Brown who is owned by 59% of teams should monster the Suns.
The time has come for Brayden Sier to play his first game in 2019 with Dayne Beams out with a hip injury. In just 60% of teams, Sier has been averaging 25 possessions, 4 tackles, 2 marks and 3 goals a game in the VFL.
