In Dozen Deals we use BUY, SELL, HOLD, ADD or DROP. With a view based on a 10 team 22 player roster, buy, sell, drop, and hold will apply to players that will generally be owned, while add will go for those you may find on the waiver wire.

It’s taken 2 weeks, but I’ve finally deconstructed a latte. Turns out it’s just water, milk, and coffee (unless you’re an American, and decide to throw a pumpkin in). So now I’m wondering where the rest of my $4.80 went.

More importantly, I thought AFL would have moved forward in the time I was out. It turns out Harley Bennell has done a calf, Stephen Hill is injured, and Jesse Hogan has a foot injury??

It turns out having Stevie write for 2 weeks has sent us back in time. So grab Barlow and Garrick Ibbotson, it’ll only be a few more weeks until Freo is back in 2013.

But what else is new?
What’d I miss?

ADD – Matthew Scharenberg

The prodigal son returns. The timing couldn’t be better, either. Jeremy Howe has gone down with a calf injury, and Langdon is battling a knee injury without a timeline set as yet.

Enter Scharengoat. 33 disposals, 16 marks, 135 fantasy. Get him in.
Did someone say Scharengoat?

DROP – Jeremy Howe

Speaking of, you can probably drop Jez. He should only be a couple weeks, but let’s face it, his performance has been borderline, and the injury gives a convenient window to take a stab at a defender on the waivers.

BUY – Wayne Milera

Upside feels higher than his average, a good trade target if you’re after a defender, as he shouldn’t cost you the world.

ADD – Karl Amon

Playing a bit on the wing, Amon could be a decent bit of bench coverage for the midfield, been quietly putting up some decent scores.

BUY – Ollie Wines

His return from injury was a little slow, I can’t see the Wines owner just giving him away, but Ollie hasn’t exactly been a fun player to own this year, so he may just be gettable.

DROP – Stephen Hill

The bloke in my league who’s held onto Hill since the draft has finally dropped him. A hamstring injury that may not be too bad, but really, what are you hoping for by holding him at this point? Time to move on.

ADD – Nic Nat

Pretty heavily owned (seriously are you all in 2 ruck leagues??) but it’s Nic Nat, stash him if you can as finals insurance, or if you’ve got a low tier ruck.

ADD – Rory Lobb

In the same vein, Lobb is highly owned, but there’s a couple leagues out there he’s been dropped in after hearing his year was done. Some of those leagues mustn’t have heard he’s coming back in 3-4 weeks, and could provide some much needed finals support. Watch Sean Darcy though, if Lyon plays both, Lobb could be a bit more of a rollercoaster, especially if Hogan is still out.

ADD – Taylor Walker

This one doesn’t feel right, but I can’t quit the Texan. The Crows fixture opens up after Geelong and Port over the next fortnight, with Gold Coast, Carlton, Essendon, St Kilda. Could be very handy in a finals push, and Tex is moving nicely.

ADD – Tom McDonald

Pretty highly owned, but may have been dropped for Melbourne’s bye. Back and firing, TMac is another forward that could contribute, based on matchups. In fact, if your forward line is like mine, any tall forward might be worth a gamble. Including:

ADD – Charlie Dixon

Did enough to warrant a pick up, especially in SC. Charlie has good hands and contested marks are gold for SC. One of these three has to come good, right?
