Each week I’ll be looking at players who are sitting in the free agency pool that can be used in your matchup that can give you a little extra scoring power. When using these players, I use Ultimate Footy’s ownership of 65% or less to give everyone a go for those that play in bigger leagues.
We are now at the pointy end of the season with some leagues starting finals or just about to commence their finals campaigns. Good luck to all and bring home that title!
The Bombers have dropped Zac Clarke due to “illness”, but we all know it’s because he is a spud. That paves the way for Shaun McKernan at 56% ownership to take the mantle of sole ruck this week. A good choice to throw in your forward line as an F5. I don’t expect him to score massive, but he will give you a decent enough score.
The resurgent Blues are taking on Steve’s hapless Gold Coast Suns this week and from what we’ve seen the last 2 weeks is that forwards have been having a field day against the Suns. Harry McKay comes in at 30% ownership will be better suited to Supercoach, whilst Levi Casboult at 44% ownership has been getting up the ground taking marks as well as kicking goals.
I see Scott Selwood is named on the extended interchange for the Cats which leads me to believe that Chris Scott is going to pull a shifty late out on us. With the Cats 3 games clear they might be looking to freshen up their stars in Ablett, Danger, J Selwood or Kelly. Scooter is in 36% of teams and could be a handy addition this week.
Aaron Sandilands looks like he is going to be playing home games only for the rest of the year. This is not good for Lobb owners as it means he will now play as the deepest forward. Sandilands is in 36% of teams and they are up against the Swans who have been fielding Aliir Aliir and Reid as there ruckman. With Sandi as sole ruck he can give you a decent enough score on hitouts alone.
