In Dozen Deals we use BUY, SELL, HOLD, ADD or DROP. With a view based on a 10 team 22 player roster, buy, sell, drop, and hold will apply to players that will generally be owned, while add will go for those you may find on the waiver wire.

An ideal Grand Final week, with every team down to Sydney and Calton having something to play for. Then there’s the Suns, who have a young list trying to prove themselves, while Melbourne only have pride to play for, and it seems like they have enough of that based on how they lapped up pre season praise. Turns out Simon is the only Goodwin at Demonland.

Now get those teams out of your head, you’re a winner and it’s winning time. If you’ve only got 1 or 2 spots and the rest of the team is solid, now’s the time to have a crack on a slightly riskier prospect.
The other thing to remember is to clear the benches. They aren’t playing this week? See ya later. If they’re playing, maybe hang onto players until just before their game so your opponent can’t pick them up, but apart from that, if they ain’t a keeper, emergency, or scoring points for you, just drop them for Port or Freo players in that last game on Sunday. You just never know.

So if you’re not contributing.

ADD – Jamie Cripps/Willie Rioli

West Coast are playing some good footy, and Hawthorn is coming over to Perth. A home final is possible with a win, 5th is probable with a loss. They should be laser focussed, with Cripps already in some good form and Willie Rioli a nice boom or bust prospect.

ADD – Ollie Florent

71% owned and been great the last few games. Still young and inconsistent, he’s not a certainty to put up points, but you could do a lot worse. Even better if you can keep him into next year, but I suspect he’s held in a lot of keeper leagues.

ADD – Adam Kennedy

Not going to blow your socks off, but he gets the job done. Against Gold Coast, I expect Kennedy to build on his past 2 games of mid 70s. A handy defender pick up.

ADD – Trent Cotchin

Way up at 79%, Cotch may be stuck on a team no longer in contention, but some have cut him loose. If he’s available and returns from a hammy injury, do you roll him out against Brisbane at the MCG?

ADD – Paul Seedsman

Returned with a bang, 111 in fantasy and a whopping 140 in SC. He should be left to roam the wing against the Bulldogs, feels a stabler option than a Florent, but has put up some bad scores this year.

ADD – Jamie Elliott

I’m not too hot on this one, but he’s low ownership; available in about 60% of leagues.  Feels like a big risk, and with De Goey and Stephenson having been out, he’ll get a lot of attention. Saad has played some good defensive games, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get the job here.

ADD – Tim Membrey

Still around in a lot of leagues and in good nick. Sydney’s defence will have their work cut out for them, and if Membrey can kick a couple goals, he’s well on his way to another decent score.

ADD – Lance Franklin

Down at 76% owned after missing much of the season, but due to play in number 300 this week at the SCG. Can Buddy’s milestone be your milestone? Either way, this St Kilda Sydney game should make for some wild viewing, despite having no bearing on the 8.
