Each week I’ll be looking at players who are sitting in the free agency pool that can be used in your matchup that can give you a little extra scoring power. When using these players, I use Ultimate Footy’s ownership of 65% or less to give everyone a go for those that play in bigger leagues.

Its short and sharp this week as the matchups for this week make it hard to nail the streamers. In the good matchups the players that we should be using their ownership is too high, while the others are not worth having on the park.

First cab off the rank this week is Robbie Tarrant. In just 23% of teams, Tarrant has had a mixed year so far in terms of scoring. This week Tarrant and the Roo’s are up against the Hawks in which Tarrant has averaged 84 SuperCoach and 77 AFL Fantasy BCV (Before Coronavirus).

Tarrant’s score build is good, especially with the shortened quarters where he is averaging 10.3 kicks, 4.3 handballs and 4 marks a game. If Tarrant continues to use the ball well, his efficiency should get you a good score, especially in the SuperCoach format.

Sam Frost (there’s a bloke who I never thought would feature in this article) who is at 17% ownership seems to have secured himself a good scoring role since his move to Hawthorn. Frost is averaging scores in the mid 80’s in SuperCoach and mid 60’s in AFL Fantasy which would warrant him to start as a D5.

Last but not least is Eric Hipwood. In just 44% of teams, Hipwood is up against the hapless Crows where he should tear them apart. Hipwood had his best game against the Crows last year where he scored 64 SuperCoach and 73 AFL Fantasy. If a third gamer in Ben King can tear apart the Crows defence, then Hipwood should do the same.
