I’m a little rushed this week, as the round starts Wednesday (wtf) and I’m away filming a 3 day disc golf tournament in Geelong come Friday. It’s the Victorian Open, actually, and it’s a pretty big deal to the 200 people that play disc golf in this state. You should come and have a round with me some time.

Just FYI, the purpose of this article is to suggest one week streaming options, that is, a list of lowly owned players worthy of a one week pickup and play, so as to fill any gaps you may have in your starting squads. But first, let’s see how I went last week:

HITS

Jake Soligo (98 AF/97 SC) – not just a SHOE-IN stream but a SHOE-IN to keep rewarding owners! This guy is still below 40% ownership in AF leagues… staggering.

Sam Durham (92 AF/98 SC) – another must own player right now, at least until Perkins and Setterfield return.

Toby Bedford (77 AF/71 SC) – the Carlton match up for players like Toby Bedford is a play to target

MISSES

Jordon Boyd (40 AF/36 SC) – he had a tractor symbol next to his name on FanFooty – what the hell is that?

Michael Walters (41 AF/48 SC) – I changed my tip after Switkowski wasn’t named… to no effect.

Well it looks a little better this week, and the players somewhere between a HIT and MISS didn’t kill your chances of winning a matchup. At least the Shoe-in thrived!

Here are some stream targets for round 7 (ownership %s taken from AFL Fantasy):

DEFENDERS

Zac Guthrie (23%) vs. Carlton – the BOOM potential is low here given the opponent, but Stewart is out and Guthrie scored an 83AF in the wet against the Lions last week.

Tom Brown (3%) vs. Melbourne – he humiliated me a few weeks back, but this is a plus matchup for defenders and Short is missing from Richmond’s defence; the logic is there and you deep league sickos can’t whinge this week.

Ryan Burton (44%) vs. St. Kilda – defenders against the Saints has been a boon in the last 5 rounds, and just look at what the Dogs did on them last week. The ownership is a little high here, but I have to consider the shallow league players with injuries and suspensions too…

MIDFIELDERS

George Wardlaw (42%) vs. Adelaide – the inside mids are getting theirs on the Crows and George should be back in the guts for the Roos this round.

Sam Durham (26%) vs. Collingwood – still no Setterfield and Perkins so still a stream… an absolute SHOE-IN, in fact.

Reuben Ginbey (24%) vs. Gold Coast – the Suns aren’t making it easy for mids this year, but I try not to focus solely on the latest trends (like, I vape*, but I still rip bongs, you know?) when making suggestions. I just read that Harley Reid is missing, so there’s my reasoning. PS. I like this more as a play in SC

*I don’t actually vape.

Tomson Dow (7%) vs. Melbourne – Richmond are hurting, Dow is named on the ball, and being the first game of the week, you can loophole him from the bench. Melbourne are a plus matchup for inside mids, where Dow should see most of his time.

RUCK

Bailey J. Williams (47%) vs. Gold Coast – West Coast win 2 games and I’m suddenly all about streaming their guys.

FORWARDS

Will Hayward (18%) vs. Hawthorn – he’s becoming a Streamteam favourite, young Will, but we like his floor and we like his matchup even more this round.

Bailey Humphrey (15%) vs. West Coast – surely the Eagles’ bubble bursts up at Metricon this round. Yes, the matchup is okay, but this is honestly a gut-feel selection, and I liked a few of the things I saw from HumpDaddy last week. He’s no Shoe-in, but I think you could do worse.

Darcy Fogarty (7%) vs. North Melbourne – I saw some creepy meme on X that someone shared about picking up ‘the Fog’ this week, and I don’t hate the idea. 93, 81 and 121 are his last 3 SC scores against the Roos.

Frisbees will dominate my weekend, but I’ll keep abreast of the socials if you want to discuss any streams.

And as always, may your streams flow golden and strong.
